Copper nickels are a great, low-risk coin investment to own. Each coin is 75% copper and 25% nickel. This gives it a unique metal value with backing of the US currency as a five cent coin. In addition, the older nickels hold greater numismatic value whether buffalo nickels, V nickels, or silver war nickels.
